This is the perfect example of a timeless kitchen that embodies a simple elegance that will truly stand the test of time.
The cabinets are Hagerstown european inset cabinets with a recessed center panel and custom painted in Benjamin-Moore’s Acadia paint. The island cabinets are a stained cherry version of the same cabinet with a raised center panel. I’ve recently been asked a number of time what elements should be incorporated to create a timeless kitchen. For anyone wondering this one gives you the perfect formula to designing a timeless kitchen. It’s an open concept space with plenty of room and seating for entertaining. We designed a custom hood as the centerpiece of the room which sits atop a 48″ pro style range. The pot filler adds a touch of interest on this wall and it’s also very functional as keeps the homeowners from trekking across this huge kitchen with a heavy pot of water. The refrigerator and freezer are built-in with flush mounted panels that blend into the cabinetry. There’s also two dishwashers, a beverage refrigerator and ice maker all hidden in the cabinetry. Details like furniture toe kicks and interior lighting in glass cabinets take this kitchen to the next level. Perhaps our favorite feature is a trash shoot hidden below the trash pullout.
I’ll detail all the elements that should be considered and included when you’re trying to design a timeless kitchen in my next post.
